My main strength is definitely to be able to understand business and technical concepts. I translate both languages between stakeholders. I strike a line on what is really important in order to protect your organization.
Since around 2000, I am learning on the Internet while developing my first websites. In 2003, I had a website that offered different services to webmasters. I also offered shared hosting services for a few clients between 2004 and 2006. Until 2014, I was often doing mandates for web application development and IT infrastructure management. Thus, I started my career on a more technical path. Since 2014, my career has been more focused on information security and IT compliance. I would like to contribute to these fields by simplifying some concepts. To help organizations and entrepreneurs to be more aware of their security challenges.
I am a certified Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), and Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP). These certifications cover 3 important aspects: information security, IT compliance, and technical security.
I hold a graduate degree in IT Governance, Audit, and Security but also a bachelor of business administration and a technical degree in computer sciences. I am currently pursuing a master degree in the same field as the graduate degree.
I have been fortunate to work for large organizations including Big4 firms and financial institutions with mandates in Canada and the US. I also worked with startups and small businesses. At the moment, I am the team leader for the offensive security team at Desjardins, the largest credit union in Canada.
